Applications are invited for the position of Program Innovation Research Associate in the Centre for Academic Excellence (CAE) department, located at the Welland Campus.

The starting hourly rate is $32.42/hr (Pay Band G) for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct research through existing data bases, literature reviews, scholarly publications, news articles, and online research to develop visual reports and dashboards that reflect issues around new program development or revision.
  • Develop and manage research resources to include developing appropriate online bots, create online surveys, conduct interviews, and focus groups inperson or via videoconferencing software and interpret results.
  • Extract, collate, analyze, and report data files with attention to detail to identify trends and opportunities for new program development as well as delivery options to attract or increase enrolment.
  • Creates and maintains dynamic dashboards for presentation and review by internal and external committees and organizations.
  • Provide other support for research projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) year diploma / degree in Social Science, Business, Computer Science, or related field of study that includes a concentration of courses in data analysis, market research and database management.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in designing and conducting research and analysis related to social science, market research, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working in an educational or academic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management including planning, problem solving and creative thinking, with an ability to track and advance several projects at once, maintain multiple sources of information and data and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working independently and taking initiative, as well as being a positive member of a team environment.
  • Experience analyzing and selecting survey tools for specific areas of research.
