The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.

Job Description:

Under close supervision and in accordance with detailed and clearly defined production work instructions, the Production Team Heavy Operator (PTHO) will:

  • Assembles parts, components, sub-assemblies and assemblies manipulating a variety of hand tools and productionized semi-automatic assembly equipment.
  • Packing & shipping of products
  • Lifting & packing of assemblies up to 37 lbs in weight
  • Stenciling of products
  • Basic use of soldering irons and gonogo gauges
  • Responsible for operator verification (OV) and reporting
  • Operate semiautomatic and automatic test sets
  • Basic use of computers for time and attendance, OV and automatic testing
  • Meets quality and production standards
  • Other duties as assigned within the PTO classification

Required Skills:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent experience and capability
  • Meet the physical job demands associated with this job role, which includes heavy lifting and moving of product

Desired Skills:

  • Basic soldering skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Willing to maintain a high level of productivity without compromising quality standards
  • Attitude: has a positive cando attitude in everyday work. Is able to deal with and support change.
