Stage Associate Producer

Canada ArtsPond Inc. Full time $28 - $35

Join our team and play a role in deepening the power and promise of arts and culture-led social change and care in Canada.

Our mission is to nurture uncommon and thriving ecosystems of care in all realms of life via the wisdom and creativity of arts and culture.

In collaboration with the Exeuctive Lead and Board of Directors, the incumbent will be tasked with providing community outreach and production support in the delivery of two creative projects:

I Love My Gig Ontario is a creative fellowship to imagine a positive post-pandemic future that is rooted in abundance and love rather than uncertainty and loss.

15 fellows from each of Ontario's 15 tourism regions will explore what types of care they hope to receive and how they can be better equipped to give and share care with others in their communities in the future.

Our goals for this fellowship are to help creatives of all kinds better understand how they can become not only careseekers but caregivers in their communities.

By doing so, we also hope to illustrate how mutual aid groups like ArtsPond's I Lost My Gig Canada can lift up the potential of precarious careseekers and inspired caregivers to help navigate the demands of new post-pandemic planetary disasters or more established homegrown resource deserts and daily life challenges in arts and culture.

Each fellow will have approximately 50 hours of self-directed experimentation and learning plus two full-group and two small-group check-ins at different stages of the fellowship.

Their final contribution will be a series of recommendations for action in their own lives and the community at large.

Participating fellows of all ages will be selected from priority groups in any artistic, creative, or cultural discipline. Priority groups include Indigenous, Racialized, d/Deaf, Disabled, and Outside the Core (suburban, rural, and remote).

Caring Cultures is a creative fellowship to imagine a future for arts and culture-led social change and holistic care in response to complex disasters and longstanding systemic gaps and barriers in their lives and communities.

8 fellows from the Greater Toronto to Hamilton Area will explore their own stories and how they imagine they might want to become changemakers or caregivers in the future, not only in response to the pandemic, but other big crises like climate change, unaffordability of housing, racism, ableism, colonialism, digital transformation, economic inequalities, and much more.

These stories and perspectives will be used to help validate ArtsPond's second decade strategic plan while providing guidance to other arts support organizations in the region that are seeking to share remedies and therapies to communities in need.

Each fellow will have approximately 75 hours of self-directed experimentation and learning plus three all-group and two small group check-ins at different stages of the fellowship.

Their end product will be a series of recommendations for action in their own lives and the community at large.

Participating fellows will be youth 18 to 35 years of age in any artistic, creative, or cultural discipline. Priority groups include Indigenous, Racialized, d/Deaf, Disabled, and Outside the core (suburban, rural, and remote).
