We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated who can deliver on our strategic priorities, obsess about customers, and are excited to see the successful implementation of the projects/products they deliver.


Individual Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for executing technical and business projects across multiple stakeholders; developing analysis to support process and project improvements
  • Manages and coordinates business and technical projects through all phases of initiation, development and implementation using SDLC methodology
  • Works with clients to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements, and implementation of projects
  • Ensures that assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client business objectives
  • Identifies, analyzes, mitigates, documents, and controls project risks
  • Provides effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors, and management
  • Identifies resource needs for the project and establishes roles, expectations, and goals with team members
  • Drives the assessment and management and mitigation of project risks that impede successful project delivery
  • Reports on and manages project resource tracking and budgets for project area
  • Understands nature of impact and creates lessons learned for future delivery
  • Strong contributor able to enable others within immediate team
  • Develop and maintain all project documentation (Project Plan, Issue and Action Logs, Risk Management, Communication Plan, Status Reports, Post Implementation Reviews, etc.).
  • Identify benefits expected from initiatives and conduct post implementation reviews to report on and track results.
  • Pull together resources effectively to implement projects. Orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish objectives.
  • Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and manage potential risks that will arise. Communicate these to the stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure decisions are made quickly and effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Over 5 years progressive experience in project management, preferably in projects associated within the Legal, Compliance and Government Relations domain
  • Have expertise in managing both waterfall and Agile/Scrum project methodologies; PMP or CSM designation would be an asset
  • Experience with both SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, etc.) a plus.
  • Sound foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture.
  • Strong project financial forecasting and cost management
  • Vendor management experience would be an assets
  • Experience in defining and completing fit / gap analysis of technology solutions
  • Understanding of IS Risk review processes and controls for technology implementations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and nontechnical terms.
  • Has experience overseeing programmers, database admins, system engineers and architects, server admins, security admins, network engineers, vendor SME's, functional business managers
  • Demonstrates skill, and strong interpersonal skills for the role across the project
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of area of practice
  • Use knowledge of the discipline and the market to suggest alternate approach options to leadership based on current project obstacles and objectives
  • Links actions to clear outcomes
  • Working knowledge of the business needs related to the project with some industry awareness of key trends
  • Constantly learns from both success and failure
  • Good organizational and problemsolving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
  • Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes to technical and nontechnical audience
  • Strong analytical skills, copes with complex situations using both skills and experience to lead to the right outcome
