We are seeking a skilled and experienced Masonry Specialist to join our team.

As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining various structures using a range of masonry materials such as bricks, stones, and concrete blocks.

Your expertise in masonry techniques and attention to detail will be essential in ensuring the structural integrity, aesthetic appeal, and durability of the projects undertaken.


Responsibilities:

  • Execute and oversee the construction of masonry structures, including walls, partitions, chimneys, arches, and other architectural elements, by accurately interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Assess project requirements and select appropriate masonry materials, such as bricks, stones, concrete blocks, tiles, and mortar, considering factors such as strength, durability, aesthetics, and costeffectiveness.
  • Accurately measure and mark surfaces to establish layout patterns, ensuring proper alignment, dimensions, and angles to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Utilize cutting tools, such as saws, chisels, and hammers, to cut and shape masonry materials as required for precise fitting and aesthetic appeal.
  • Skillfully lay bricks, stones, or blocks in uniform courses, utilizing various bonding techniques, such as running bond, English bond, or Flemish bond, to create strong and aesthetically pleasing masonry structures.
  • Assess and repair existing masonry structures, including repointing mortar joints, replacing damaged bricks or stones, and restoring damaged surfaces to their original condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience as a Masonry, Bricklayer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in constructing, repairing, and maintaining masonry structures.
  • G license
  • Indepth knowledge of masonry materials, construction techniques, and best practices,
  • An understanding of architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications is an asset
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, working at heights, and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to identify issues, develop effective solutions, and troubleshoot challenges that may arise during construction or restoration projects.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety protocols, recognizing potential hazards, and implementing appropriate safety measures.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively as part of a team, coordinating with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople.

Up to $46.00 per hour
