About the role
We're looking for a Claims Representative I for our Accident Benefits department to join our growing team


As a Claims Representative I, you will work closely with our customers who have suffered minor injuries because of a motor vehicle accident, with a focus on a positive customer journey.

This will allow you to work in a high-pressure environment with an investigative, informed, and supportive mindset.

An accelerated training program will be provided to help build foundational knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and accident benefits, and how to adjudicate and investigate claims.

The training will provide you with the confidence, empathy, and knowledge required to set you up for success.

What you'll do here:

  • Ensure timely and thorough investigation of predominantly medical claims
  • Identify eligibility and/or entitlement, ensuring quick access to all available benefits to promote treatment and recovery
  • Manage claims while abiding by current provincial regulations & guidelines as well as company protocols and procedures
  • Answer customer queries promptly and provide high quality customer service

What you bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 1-year experience in a high-volume customer service role
  • Bilingualism (French and English) are highly preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication and negotiation skills
  • Computer literate
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • An ongoing commitment to selfdevelopment
  • Knowledge of appropriate provincial legislation is an asset
  • Knowledge or understanding of medical terminology is considered an asset
  • Pursuing your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
  • A University degree or college diploma in Health Sciences (kinesiology or psychology) is considered an asset
