LOCATION:
Guelph Board Office (500 Victoria Road N, Guelph, ON N1E 6K2)

SALARY RANGE:
$25.29 to $31.54 per hour

FTE/HOURS:1.0 FTE (35 hours per week)

BOARD INFORMATION:
OCT Union, 12-month position (permanent)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for performing planning and scheduling duties for the Maintenance team, including the following:

  • Daily emergency telephone management for maintenance requirements
  • Planning, scheduling and coordination of planned/unplanned maintenance activities
  • The development of weekly, monthly and annual maintenance schedules to align with the site priorities
  • Works with Supervisors, Trades and various contractors to develop project work plans covering all Board sites for noninstructional periods such as winter, March and summer breaks
  • Modify existing PMs based on effectiveness and feedback from field technicians and supervisors
  • Develop and utilize performance metrics including the maintenance department KPI scorecard and various maintenance effectiveness reports
  • Create detailed instructions/ scope of work for preventative maintenance and RFQs in coordination with the manufacturer recommendations and of the Boards requirements for equipment
  • Responsible for digital upkeep for maintenance staff of iPads, CMMS Mobile App, inspections, uploads, etc.
  • Ensure legislative and regulatory requirements are met through a comprehensive planned work program for all Board's buildings and equipment
  • Manage equipment records, mapping, files and correspondence including all certifications, approvals and reports. To include scheduling followup work for all inhouse staff and various contractors from reports and inspections.
  • Coordination of maintenance for vehicle, including GPS software maintenance, licensing and maintenance records
  • Site visits for verifications, mapping, spot checking, etc.
  • Assist in budget preparation
  • Assist in Professional Development planning and scheduling for the Maintenance staff, and coordinate with Capital Renewal in new/refurbished equipment for trades staff demonstration
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • O.S.S.D. or equivalent
  • A diploma in a maintenance related field, a trades licence and/or technical background
  • A valid driver's license is required for occasional travel to sites as needed
  • CAD experience and/ or ability to read architectural/ mechanical drawings
  • Skillful in organization, planning/ scheduling practices, and/ or project coordination/ administration
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices, performance measures, scheduling tools and techniques
  • Indepth working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal tactfully and effectively with various stakeholders and trades personnel
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills with the ability to plan, problem solve, organize and prioritize workload
  • Motivated selfstarter who can work well independently or within a team environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
