The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities

The main role of a mechanized shuttle loader operator is to perform extraction in production sites and development galleries as well as loading trucks. The primary responsibilities of this position include:

Load trucks safely and efficiently.Operating the shuttle loader in remote mode.Installation of a remote-controlled operating platform.Taking ore samples.Operating a production truck.Performing related tasks as per operational needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma.A minimum of 4 years of experience on both manual and remote-controlled shuttle loaders.Completion of mining modules FMTM 1 to 5, 7, and 9.Possession of a general explosives permit.Valid driver's license.Adaptability.Good communication skills.

Assets

Holding a Class 1 driver's license.Having good knowledge of preventive mechanics.Due to frequent exchanges with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and enhance our internal communications.
