About the Company
Our client is a prominent boutique Real Estate Law Firm located in the heart of North Toronto, and is seeking a Real Estate Law Clerk. With a focus on excellence and a commitment to providing top-tier legal services, our client specializes in various aspects of real estate law, including subdivision developments.

About the Role
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Lawyers in all aspects related to real estate, including subdivision developments. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong understanding of real estate law Your Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents related to subdivision developments, including agreements of purchase and sale, easements, restrictive covenants, and subdivision plans.
  • Conduct title searches, due diligence, and property research to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth progression of subdivision projects.
  • Coordinate closings and manage the closing process, including the preparation of closing agendas, statements of adjustments, and other closing documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, update databases, and organize files pertaining to subdivision developments.
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers and senior staff members as needed.
What You Bring
  • Diploma or certificate in Law Clerk studies from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Law Clerk in a real estate law firm.
  • Proficiency in legal software and databases, including Teraview, Conveyancer, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of Ontario real estate law, land development regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
