Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations
  • Reconciliation of accounts monthly; bank reconciliations
  • Monitor financial control systems
  • Keep financial records and establish, main and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Manage vehicle depreciations, company loans, insurance, licenses
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Oversee payroll administration; familiarity with complete payroll cycle necessary; complete biweekly payroll journal entries from payroll reports; T4 reconciliation with GL accounts, Vacation calculations; Benefit Plan enrolment; communication with Benefit Plan provider, communication with employees; deduction calculations and entries into payroll system
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- conduct account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management review
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, expenditures, account analysis and reconciliation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with various financial regulations and standards; stay current with employment standards and requirements
  • Yearend reconciliations and processing all working papers for external review; External audits
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data effectively
