Carpentry Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Study blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications
  • Calculate the amount and type of materials needed
  • Use measuring tools to prepare layouts
  • Ensure layouts meet building codes
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and put up walls and roof systemsBuild footings and molds for concreteFit and install doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
  • Manage apprentices and other construction workers
  • Manage all aspects of carpentry projects from planning to completionDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project success
  • Manage the delivery and logistics of all materials and supplies needed for the projectMonitor and control project expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 10 years of experience in the carpentry field
  • Exceptional project managing skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of carpentry techniques and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprintsStrong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
