WHAT IS THE ROLE ?
You will be responsible for gathering requirements, developing data models, and creating visualizations that translate business problems into structured quantitative analyses. You will play a key role in maintaining data quality, designing ETL processes, and ensuring the integrity of our data systems.
HOW WILL YOU DO IT?
Data Analysis and Visualization:
- Gather requirements and translate business problems into structured quantitative analyses, dashboards, and/or reports.
- Produce recurrent operational reports and dashboards that highlight opportunities on an ongoing basis.
- Develop, test, and monitor ETL processes.
- Design the Dimensional Data Model, Data Engineering Pipelines, Data Quality, and Validation rules based on business requirements.
- Ingest data from various sources to the data lake and transform data for readiness in the data warehouse.
- Create a data pipeline and ETL dashboard.
- Serve as the system administrator for ETL tools.
- Manage data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Rivery) and processes for ETL or ELT.
- Monitor data hygiene inputs and outputs by continuously safeguarding data quality, integrity, privacy, and usability.
- Create, maintain, and update documentation for data and other functional specifications.
- Build and monitor dbt jobs, including scheduling new jobs if needed.
- Monitor auto-ingestion processed files and create documentation of current tasks.
Your achievements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or any other STEM majors.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Proficient in using SQL to query large enterprise data warehouses (Advanced, 2-3 years).
- Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy - 1-2 years).
- Familiar with Snowflake data pipelines, streams, and stages.
- Knowledge of dbt.
- Experience building complex data models.
- Knowledge of Airflow or a similar orchestration tool.
- Familiar with git or other version control tools.
- Knowledge of Snowflake data lake and data warehouse solutions, including Snowflake database, Snowsight, Snowpipe, and Snowsql.
- Exceptional analytical skills: ability to navigate large amounts of data and provide critical thinking towards actionable analytics.
- Solid understanding of the data lifecycle, including the design, development, QA, maintenance, and support stages.
- Demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information.
