Assignment Description


Working in the Project Services Team, this position will be responsible for providing Marine and Subsea planning support to the project team.


Responsibilities:

  • Support Marine and Subsea Planning.
  • Review and analysis of the contractor submitted monthly forecast schedules, monthly reports, interface milestones, fabrication requirements and scope execution.
  • Early flagging of potential risk, suggest a corrective action for slippage (if any).
  • Input to the development of project progress report and key performance indicators.
  • Assist in the analysis of critical paths, highlights to the Marine and Subsea Planner.
  • Monitor actual progress against planned progress.
  • Analyze impact of proposed changes to project scope / requirements and rebaseline the schedules to incorporate approved changes.
  • Assist planning leads in entering and maintaining database records required to automate various dashboards.
  • Support in the development and accuracy of schedule reports based on the schedule processes developed for the WWRP.
  • Identify and help support further automation of repetitive tasks, or improvements on presentation of existing report design.

Deliverables:

  • Weekly and monthly progress scurves and updating.
  • Supplementary reporting on an adhoc basis
  • Support in increasing specific reports and analysis during key periods of the project
  • Critical path analysis and reporting.
  • Schedule deviation analysis and reporting.
  • Weekly and Monthly KPI's.
  • Change Management review and analysis.
  • Monthly report support.

Qualifications Required

  • 15 years planning and/or project engineering experience in Major Projects or Large Industrial Projects
  • Proficient in use of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to prepare planning information for presentations and reports.
  • An asset to have experience with planning / scheduling systems and tools such as Primavera, Progress and Performance Measurement tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understand cost control, change management and contractual functions.
One or more of the below or equivalent experience

  • Post-Secondary degree in Engineering or Technology
  • Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training
