  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including students, faculty, support staff, administrators and community stakeholders

SPECIFIC
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Postsecondary 4year Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, and/or Digital Media required
  • Master's Degree in Communications and Media Studies, Public Relations, or a relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant industry experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Experience in multimedia, content creation, journalism, public relations, internal communications, and media relations required
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies and social media platforms an asset
  • Familiarity with digital communication software and platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Canva, Hootsuite, WordPress and Google Analytics
  • Crisis communications and community relations experience required

Salary:

Determination of starting salaries is based on relevant teaching/occupational experience and relevant formal qualifications, supported with original transcripts from granting institutions.

The salary scale is $73,079 to $126,689 along with a comprehensive benefit package.
Partial load or full-time academic staff presently employed with the College will be given first consideration in accordance with the Academic Collective Agreement.
