Whyte Avenue location in Edmonton Street NW, Edmonton)

What You'll Be Doing
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Cash handling and reconciliation
- Purchasing/Ordering
- Inventory control
- Analyzing and responding to product movement
- Displays and Merchandising
Baking/Cooking
- Food Production
- Quality Control
- Facilitating ongoing training of Deli Employees
- Creating a cleaning schedule and ensuring compliance
- Receiving and Claims management
- Performance Management
- Recruitment, hiring, onboarding and terminations
- Fostering teamwork and cooperation within the department
- Management responsibilities, including opening and closing the store
- Passion for the Organic and Natural Food Industry
- Industry and product knowledge
- Experience in food prep and production required
- Deli management/supervisory experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- 5+ years of customer service experience
- Experience in retail food sales
- Excellent time management
- Demonstrated ability to coach, lead and develop a team
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office programs
- Food Safe Certificate
- Standard first aid
- Able to stand most of the day, lift, work in freezers and coolers, and climb ladders
- Must have evening and weekend availability
