Pro Vita is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) with a strong dedication to seniors to be part of our team providing care to residents in Long Term Care in Nanaimo.

Employment Type:
Full-time, Part-time

Shift(s)

Full-time: 4 days on & 2 days off, 11:00pm - 7:00am, 35 hours/week
Part-time: 3 days on & 4 days off, 7:00am - 3:00pm, 22.5 hours/week

Salary :
$40.15 /hour

Essentials:
Completion of a recognized Practical Nurses program or equivalent education and experience approved by the BCCNM.
Active registration with the BCCNM as an LPN.
Occupational First Aide Level 1 certification.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Clear Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check initially and every 5 years.
Proficient in English communication.

Assets:
Preferably experienced in Gerontology.
MDS education (Gold Care or Point Click Care).

Responsibilities:
Observing, recording, and updating residents' physical and mental health status.
Providing personal care as needed.
Assisting with emergency staff scheduling.
Ensuring compliance with Infection Control Practices.
Assessing residents' health conditions and needs.
