Job Summary

The Print Design Specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on glass. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve printing issues. The Print Design Specialist will work closely with the customers and production team to ensure all print jobs meet the company's standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Creation: Work with clients on creating and achieving desired patterns, images etc. and work with Management and staff to generate new product/design ideas
  • Operate Printing Equipment: Set up, operate, and maintain print equipment
  • Quality Control: Inspect printed materials for clarity, color accuracy, and alignment, ensuring they meet quality standards and client specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues with printing equipment (alongside production staff) to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Material Management: Load and unload printing materials such as ink and monitor inventory levels to ensure an uninterrupted production process.
  • Job Coordination: Collaborate with the clients and production teams to schedule print jobs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity (alongside production staff)
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in printing technology is preferred and bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in graphic design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various types of printing machinery; strong understanding of color theory and print processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and correct print quality issues, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients to convey technical information clearly.
