Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Lead Machine Builder will be responsible for but are not limited to assembling, testing and troubleshooting various types of equipment.

Installations of this equipment will also be required and some out of town work is expected.

_DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES_

  • Lead the build team. Supervise builders ensure they are working safely, producing good quality machines in the defined timeframe
  • Ensures work completed complies with the appropriate and applicable standards
  • Assembles a variety of machines by performing a range of duties such as assembling, fitting and installation of parts
  • Set up and operate machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities and conformance
  • Troubleshoot machines by identifying and correcting problems
  • Test and inspect assembled machinery for defects
  • Verify and test final products
  • Perform installation, debug, repair and other field service duties that require offsite travel
  • Read and interpret process documentation, drawings, prints, diagrams, and/or schematics
  • Complete paperwork such as work orders, forms and checklists associated with assembly of device
  • Responsible for maintaining good relations with customers, vendors, and plant personnel
  • Complete all tasks in a safe efficient manner and communicating any unsafe conditions or actions to management
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Use Solidworks and Robot Studio to create new designs, communicate ideas, and/or document asbuilt details.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Licensed Millwright
  • 3+ years' experience as a Machine Builder
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must be adaptable to changing work environment, competing demands and frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
