Within the Science branch of DFO, Physical Scientists play crucial roles using computer programming languages for data processing and analysis, as well as contributing to monitoring and modeling aquatic ecosystems.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
•Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry, or a relevant science field.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (for PC-02 and PC-03 positions):
•Experience in modern computer programming languages for data processing, analysis, and management.
•PC-03 POSITIONS ONLY:
•Approximately one year work experience in a physical science or geomatics field.
•Experience in writing reports or publications.

•For Supervisory positions: Bilingual – Imperative or Non-Imperative (CBC/CBC).
