Electrical Apprentice

AMK Electrical Services Ltd is looking for experienced electrical 2nd to 4th year registered apprentice to join our young and growing company for commercial and residential projects throughout the Lower Mainland.
We are looking for responsible employees who are ambitious and motivated. This is a full time and permanent position.We have numerous projects on the go at any time, and therefore flexibility to move between job sites on daily or weekly basis is essential.
Our company does new construction, renovations, commercial, residential, tenant improvement projects (retail, institutional, offices) and service calls.Requirements:
- Experience on a full range of commercial and residential projects.
- Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and work with multiple deadlines.
- Excellent electrical knowledge.
- Troubleshoot and isolate ground faults.
- Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits.
- Splice, join and connect wires.
- Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
- Install, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
- Install electric car chargers.
- Install surface mount and/or overhead cables.
- Install underground wiring and cables.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs.
- Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
- Ability to think quickly on their feet and be able to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly and safely.
- Professional and clean appearance.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Must be able to follow directions effectively and have good work ethics.
- Takes pride in their work, and is able to complete jobs on time and on budget.
- Reasonable service, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
- Flexibility to work the odd evening or weekend.
- A reliable vehicle (we work all over the city, and some locations are not ideal for those on transit).
- Have a valid BC driver's license and a clean abstract and no restrictions.
- Own hand tools is required.
- Steeltoed safety boots hard hat, safety vest and goggles.

$20.00-$34.00 per hour
