Otician/ophthalmic Dispenser

Superior Vision Centre is looking for an enthusiastic optician with exquisite customer service skills and a strong passion for fitting and handling independent and luxurious eyewear.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Guiding patients when selecting frames for proper fit and styling

- taking eye and spectacle measurements to correctly fill prescriptions

• Perform and necessary repairs or adjustments
• Ordering from various Optical Laboratories, contact lens companies and dealing with frame representatives to manage our boutique optical
• Ensuring that all orders arrive and are to the specifications of the patient
• Basic bookkeeping duties associated with creating patient invoice, submitting insurance claims and tracking patient orders
• Managing optometric assistant staff and dealing with any questions they may have.

This is a salaried, full-time position with the benefit of a 4-day work week:

• Monday 11AM to 8 PM
• Tuesday to Thursday 9 AM to 6 PM
• Summer hours from May long weekend to Labour Day weekend we continue our 4day work week, Mon-Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM.

Licence/Certification:
Dispensing optician licence (preferred)

Salary:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
