Job Description:
Black River Logistics Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

As a Truck Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our fleet of trucks, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of trucks to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components or systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of the trucks and minimize breakdowns.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities using the company's systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and address urgent repair needs to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the maintenance facility.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Truck Mechanic is preferred but not required.
  • Certification in Diesel Mechanics or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of modern truck systems, engines, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality.
