Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Production, you will be responsible for communicating daily with factories by following up on open purchase orders and ensuring on-time deliveries.

You will work with your manager to resolve production problems to again ensure an on-time delivery and quality product. Additional responsibilities include creating purchase orders/coordinating payments to our vendors and working with our nominated freight forwarder for shipments

Primary Duties:

  • Daily communication with domestic and overseas vendors
  • Communicate with domestic or overseas vendors on a daily basis and respond to all requests in a timely manner. Work to develop and execute corrective action plan(s) for exception and /or late delivery.
  • Work closely with product development and technical development teams to meet company SOP stages and key dates.
  • Follow up on shipping status to ensure goods are delivered on time. Proactively anticipate problems or bottlenecks and bring proposed solutions to Supervisor's attention.
  • Determines progress of work and provides information on changes in processing methods.
  • Enter purchase orders in the system and prepare breakdowns for vendors
  • Review invoices and packing lists against purchase order for payment to vendors
  • Coordinate bookings by our vendors with nominated freight forwarder if need
  • Complete other tasks and assignments as required by management
  • Visiting domestic contractors if needed

Job Specifications:

  • Education Level
  • College or equivalent
  • Experience 34 years experience in the garment industry preferred


Special Skills
  • Knowledge of garment making and fabrics.
  • Working knowledge of math and computers.
  • Full understanding of production process in terms of product development, production scheduling, quality control / assurance, and delivery is required.
  • Good Microsoft office software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
  • Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy.
  • Proactive decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Organized, time management skill to meet deadlines.
