About the Position:

This role oversees the Corporate Finance Team, consisting of approximately 95 individuals, as it progresses through a transformation journey, including the adoption of a new ERP system. The team handles internal, Board, and external financial reporting for OMERS, focusing on both IFRS and management reporting.

You will play a vital role in a high-performing team within a winning culture that emphasizes long-term growth and personal development. We are known for our integrity and dedication in every aspect of our work.

As part of this team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of 4 to 5 direct reports to drive progress against the Corporate Finance Divisional Scorecard and roadmap
  • Participating in the quarterly reporting on OMERS financial results and significant assets valuations
  • Executing term note issuances and managing investor and credit rating relations
  • Driving ongoing change initiatives to enhance processes and tools within Corporate Finance
  • Contributing to the drafting and approval of OMERS Annual Report and Operating Plan
  • Leading the adoption of a new ERP system and other Finance-wide transformation projects
  • Overseeing OMERS Corporate and Pensions budget and advancing the Procurement function
  • Cultivating strong relationships with external stakeholders and supporting the broader Corporate Finance team

Qualifications:

Professional designation: CPA, CA

Minimum 15 years of relevant Finance experience in complex investment or pension environments

Excellent communication skills across various formats

Ability to build and maintain key relationships across different departments
