Flame + Smith is a restaurant in the heart of Prince Edward County. We are a farm-to-table restaurant that focused on open-fire cooking.

We love working with local farms - including our own Millpond Gardens, located just down the road from the restaurant.

Since opening we've had some pretty good press, but we are always looking to improve. And that's where you come in. Come work with us, come make us a better restaurant

If you have pep in your step, a spark in your eye, and a great, plays-well-with-others attitude, we want to meet you.

Experience is appreciated but not strictly necessary.

About the Position
We are looking to strengthen our great team.

The oyster station is centre-stage in our dining room, it is part of our bar and is a draw for our guests.

The person must have a good attitude, be presentable, able to interact and serve the guest at the bar, and have a minimum experience shucking oysters.

Although there will be hands on training available as well. Organizational skills, passion for seafood and a strong work ethic are an asset.

Responsibilities and Qualifications include:

The desire and willingness to learn.

• Works well in a team environment.
• Performs well in a highpaced, culinary focus culture.
• Very hands on and motivates others by setting the example.
• Set up the seafood station, which includes preparing the sauces and all the fixings.
• Set up the display with ice and the daily seafood/oysters products.
• Check in the with the head chef on any new seafood offerings and oyster availability.
• Cleanup and closing of the station at the end of the night.
