Commercial Analyst - Atlantic Metal Sales

Commercial Analyst to join our Montreal office
You will be supporting the Sales Manager with all aspects of book management including sales, procurement, strategy formation, customer relationship management, contract negotiation and execution.
account management for clients and be the first point of contact for business-as-usual customer requests including volume declarations, scheduling requests and will work closely with Portfolio, Scheduling teams, Commercial Services & Logistics to ensure on time delivery of contracted volumes and associated documentation.
At the same time, you will support our operations with trade off strategy, overseeing trade off including but not limited to liaising with third parties and managing associated documentation.

Reporting to the Commercial Superintendent (Atlantic Metal Sales) you will:
- Develop, implement and monitor the Products Atlantic Sales and Trading strategy.
- Set revenue targets and key performance indicators; and project Sales and Trading volume and margin for existing and new products, working closely with the Strategic Marketing, S&OP and Finance teams.
- Lead and drive sales team to deliver revenue targets and business results.
- Work with cross functional teams to drive adoption of best practices including risk management, contract management and deployment of associated systems.
- Develop strong and professional relationship with key customers.
- Guide the sales managers in the development and execution of account management plans.
- Lead or participate in large contract negotiations.
- Attend key meetings with members of the sales team.
- Motivate, coach and drive strategic thinking in the sales team to achieve the best results possible.
- Provide continual training and development of all members of the sales team.
- Identify key areas for improvement in the sales process and implement best practices in sales techniques.
- Work collaboratively with Commercial Services team to drive efficiency and simplification whilst ensuring highest standard of customer service.
- Be the voice of the market and customer in the S&OP process.
What you'll bring
- B.A. Engineering, Business, Finance or equivalent.
- At least 15 years prior work experience in sales/trading of commodity/metals.
- Relevant industry background gained from a competitor or company in a related metals industry.
- Strong acumen for sales, marketing, commercial and business development.
- Proven track record of building business and hitting sales targets.
- Proven leadership experience in inspiring and leading a highperformance team.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complexity and present comprehensible and workable proposals to senior management.
- Demonstrated experience in prioritizing and working through a networked organization in achieving results.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Understanding of hedging and derivative instruments.
- Understanding of trading and price risk management concepts.
- MBA.
