Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pick goods, pack safely and load truck properly to avoid damage during transit, as per operating guidelines.
  • Prepare Bills of Lading, post weights, number of pieces, carrier, and any special instructions, as required.
  • Arrange for carrier to pick up and/or delivery
  • Check incoming and outgoing goods. Report any discrepancies to department lead and/or supervisor.
  • Ensure all incoming goods are distributed to proper bin location, stored in a safe manner and inventory updated.
  • Participate and produce new method improvements continuously.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment by keeping the work area clean, materials positioned correctly in addition, following safe operating procedures.
  • Conduct workplace of equipment inspection daily
  • Perform Cycle Counts daily and report all discrepancies to department lead before updating inventory records.
  • Pick orders, and do stock adjustments between bin locations
  • Perform Bin Audits daily, as per schedule
  • Operate hand pallet truck and electric operated walkie to move material within the warehouse and inside the truck during loading/unloading.
  • Assist production departments with material handling.
  • Participate and support in any assigned projects/charters/events to meet company goals and budgets.
  • Navigate through the ERP system to pick, pack, and confirm orders to ship them according to scheduled dates.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of intracompany shuttles
  • Check stock availability for items in Stock room locations for quantities available to pick, and in Time Phase Inventory to record estimated date of arrival of additional units
  • Maintain internal recordkeepings accurately
  • Communicate with carriers, and customer service to update order status for on time shipment, and schedule pickups
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree; and one to two years related in Shipping and Receiving experience.

Must have good knowledge of applicable traffic and transportation regulations, modern material handling and storage methods.

Good understanding of inventory control technique, including the use of computer based order management and location of inventory.

Familiar with FedEx and parcel post meters preferred

Familiar with operating motorized pallet truck

Must have knowledge of shop and safety practices.

Must process excellent interpersonal skills.

Must possess basic Computer skills and understanding of basic Outlook and Microsoft Office functions

Must be able to learn using basic Computer (Desktop) to operate the ERP functions

Basic knowledge of using the web browser

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend operating materials and procedure manuals.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Current fork truck license preferred

Valid driving license for company van would be an asset.
