FACULTY OVERVIEW:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

A willingness to teach all levels of Chemistry, from preparatory through to second-year organic chemistry courses, is required.

Teaching organic chemistry at the second-year level will necessitate a strong background in organic chemistry or in a closely-related discipline.

The successful applicant will teach the following three chemistry courses in the Summer 2023 semester (May to August) on KPU Surrey campus:

• CHEQ 1094 (Preparation for General Chemistry)
• CHEM 1210 (Chemical Energetics and Dynamics)
• CHEM 2320 (Organic Chemistry I)

For the remainder of the appointment year, the successful applicant will be expected to do professional development work and to support the department by performing accountable time activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Evidence of undergraduate teaching success (i.e., representative course syllabi/outlines, course evaluations, peer and student reviews)
• Names of three referees willing to comment on your ability to contribute to a modern, degreegranting Chemistry department
