Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Food Services Worker to join the Food Productions team working out of Vancouver General Hospital.

This is a CASUAL/ON-CALL posting. We are always recruiting to maintain a robust pool of casual staff.

Working more hours as a casual staff member will build your seniority hours; As a Food Service Worker with VCH you will:

Perform a variety of duties according to Food Safe protocols and quality and safety standards including:

and measuring and combining food and beverage ingredients by methods such as grinding, blending, slicing, dicing and/or puree.
Strip wagons/trays, wash dishes and pots, clean food wagons, kitchen equipment, fridges and storage areas and wipe down tables and counter areas; Perform related clerical duties
Successful completion of Food Safe Certificate Level 1.
Grade 10 plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

As per the current Public Health Orders, as of October 5, 2023, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have received a single dose of the most-recent, updated COVID-19 vaccine.

Proof of vaccination status will be required.
