Roles & Responsibilities
- Comply with company safety program and policies.
- Work in a strong team environment and complete tasks as assigned.
- Strong communication skills.
- Work closely with the paving Foreman and Superintendent.
- Complete daily equipment checklists.
- Able to use automatics, toe points, skis, for spreading hot asphalt on roadways, driveways, parking lots.
- Able to make sure that the screed is preheated and leveled prior to operating.
- Able to identify and rectify segregated areas in the asphalt mat.
- Observe and monitor asphalt material along the screed for proper allocation.
- Able to operate other equipment
ie:
skidsteer, rollers, plate tampers is an asset.
- Willing to train others for a more efficient team.
Qualification Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers' license.
- Comply with all Saskatchewan's traffic laws, Federal regulations, and safety requirements.
- May require pre-access drug testing for some sites.
Preferred Skill:
- Saskatoon based, but willing to travel based on work.
- Seasonal
- Operate equipment in a safe manor.
- Have strong work ethics and wanting to work in a team environment.
- Able to perform regular physical/labour work.
- Have leadership qualities.
