Merchandising Marketing Manager


Reporting to the Director of Brand and Marketing and in collaboration with many key stakeholders across the organization, the Merchandising Marketing Manager will play the lead role in the development and execution of the in-store merchandising program strategy, delivering the right promotional experiences to the right customers in the right channels at the right times to drive value for our consumers, vendor partners and for ANBL.


Accountabilities

  • Develop ANBL's retail merchandising program strategy, aligned with, and linked to ANBL's Channel Sales, Category Management, Corporate Brand and Marketing strategies and plans.
  • Build strong crossdepartmental relationships and be a liaison between Marketing, Category Management, Channel Sales, Supply Chain, Pricing, Business Intelligence and Finance to ensure stakeholders across the business are involved in and informed on instore merchandising programs.
  • Manage the development, execution, monitoring, and reporting of the instore merchandising program based on customer segments, market trends and insights, product plans, distribution plans and schedules, seasonality, and key performance metrics.
  • Develop strong vendor relationships as they relate to instore merchandising and marketing, in working with external business partners to align on the best strategies and programs to meet both ANBL and vendor partner objectives.
  • Build and oversee the instore merchandising process, calendars and workback schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize crosschannel consumer journeys and touchpoints as it relates to the instore Merchandising Program, but not accountable for mass marketing, content and copywriting, or creative design delivery.
  • Support the success and development of the Merchandising Coordinator in their role and duties.

For this role, you'll need

  • 5+ years in a business leadership role, with demonstrated ability to rally crossfunctional teams to meet business objectives and timelines for execution.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing consumerfacing marketing communications strategies.
  • 5+ years of strategic retail marketing experience that includes promotional and/or merchandising plan development and execution.
  • Proven track record of translating data into insights to drive continuous improvements and sound decisionmaking.
  • Solid understanding of and passion for the retail customer experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving.
  • Process and detail oriented.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, including strong presentation skills.

Work Location:

Option to work remote from New Brunswick is available; however, this role includes monthly in-person meetings in Fredericton and requires some mínimal travel for additional face-to-face meetings and visits to ANBL channel locations across New Brunswick.

  • Semiregular travel to Fredericton will be required
