Our Opportunity
We are seeking a loader operator to fill a seasonal full-time opening working in our aggregate production facility. Competitive wages with opportunity for a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Pit Supervisor
  • Participate and engage in daily Tailboard meetings, identify hazards and assist in crew compliance to safety policies and regulations
  • Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's safe work procedures
  • Required to work with mínimal supervision and easily understand tasks at hand
  • Conduct equipment inspections, and accurately complete daily logs of equipment maintenance.
  • Perform duties such as loading trucks, transporting, and stockpiling material
  • Required to fuel and grease equipment daily
  • Keep work area and equipment clean
  • Proactively communicated with Pit Supervisor and coworkers
  • Communicate using a radio in compliance with radio protocol
  • Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required and in compliance with office standards

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience with references
  • Valid class 5 drivers' licence
  • Must be personable, able to work independently and as a team, and must possess strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of aggregate an asset
  • Ability and willingness to work in adverse conditions
  • Experience operating various machines from excavators to skid steers an asset
