The Opportunity


Columbia College is looking for a
Sessional English
Instructor
to teach the following course **in our University Transfer Program on campus.

- **ENGL 100, Language and Composition*
  • This parttime sessional position will commence in
    May 2024 and end in
    August 2024.
Key Responsibilities

The Instructor's primary responsibilities include planning, teaching, marking, and grading the appointed course/s.
-
Master's degree in English Literature.
- **Credentials (CELTA, TESL, or TESOL certificate) and experience teaching ESL courses

:

  • A minimum of two years of experience teaching English at another postsecondary institution.
  • Excellent expertise with Learning Management Systems (Knowledge and experience with Moodle is an asset).
  • Demonstrated success in innovative or studentcentered teaching techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in teaching a diverse student body.
Compensation

We offer the following competitive compensation: For English contact hours + 2 office hours), we offer a gross salary of
$10,278.15 for a Master's degree holder and
$11,471.98 for a Ph.
D. holder.

The course compensation is linked to teaching hours.
