We're looking for an experiencedForestry Technicianfor ourSouthern Interior Woodlands Division. The Southern Interior Woodlands Team manages Tolko's tenure and fiber supply in theSouthern Interior of British Columbia, covering an area of 953,447 hectares. We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
  • Agraduate of forestryfrom a recognized college or university or have theequivalent practical work experience and training.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
  • Avalid driver's license.
  • A soundunderstanding of forest policy, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Anunwavering commitment to safety.
  • Previous industry experience.
  • Registered (or eligible to register) for the ABCFPis preferred.
In this role you will:
  • Forest development activities.
  • Road/cut block layout.
  • Timber cruisingand drafting of associated plans.
  • This position generally encompasses bothfield and office duties.
  • Work within and between various teams andbuild strong relationshipswith the people you work with.
  • Complete all duties in asafe, timely and cost effective and professional manner.

This is a unionized position, within the United Steelworkers Local 1—423. Compensation is governed by the Southern Interior Master Agreement. This position currently pays $35.60- $39.28/hour, depending on experience, education and skill level.
