Applications are invited for the position of Workplace Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist in the Human Resources Division, located at the Welland Campus.

The salary range is $68,911 to $86,140 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing learning programs, including materials and e-learning, to build out and maintain EDI programs and new initiatives; assisting team members in designing curriculum, delivering training and conducting workshops
  • Sourcing EDI training providers, facilitators and programs, and making recommendations for enhancements in learning and training
  • Working across the College to manage and execute plans for the College Days of Significance including programming, sessions, panels etc
  • Consulting on the completion of preliminary needs assessments in complex and confidential situations, and carries out research on best practices or learning objectives
  • Developing a framework for the collaboration of people and areas across the College involved in implementing strategic EDI initiatives,
  • Managing the overall plan and strategy for EDI website and events calendar

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four (4) year degree in Human Resources, Business and/or Public Administration, Psychology, Adult Education or a similar field of study
  • Completion of formal learning related to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, typically acquired through a postgraduate certificate, professional designation or substantial related professional development
  • Completion of CHRP, or a certification in learning and organizational development (CTDP) is considered an asset
  • Proven experience working to implement workplace EDI initiatives, preferably within a complex publicsector organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution and problem solving capabilities
