This position is part of the Wealth Management Service Delivery Group focussing on data archiving at National Bank Financial Group.

As our newest Electronic Trading Business Analyst, you will work with our developers, quants, traders, and technology experts to implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products to our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Understand and become familiar with existing and new compliance guidelines / legislation around data archiving requirements with the finance industry in Canada in general and at NBC specifically.
  • Learn and follow / implement regulations as set out by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI), Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), and FINRA—the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, especially in relation to data archiving.
  • Optimize processes and improve the efficiency of the technology
  • Research new technologies and software solutions outofthebox innovative thinkers are highly valued
  • Interact with internal partners as well as key vendors in all aspects of this role.
  • Documentation of all efforts for support, maintenance and reference purposes using existing tools.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer/Software Engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets
  • Experience in the financial regulatory / compliance industry
  • Working knowledge / experience with trading systems, EMS/OMS, SOR's required
  • Experience with FIX protocol, Cloud computing are assets
  • Enjoy and have interest working within the dynamic environment of Capital/Financial Markets
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
