Heavy Equipment Operators to join our Earthworks team for the upcoming construction season.

What you'll do at Paradox:


Reporting to the Field Supervisor, the heavy equipment operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.

Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, and other pieces of equipment. They must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies, and procedures.

Day-to-Day Task list

  • Operating Heavy Equipment.
  • Operating equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury and/or property damage.
  • Keep equipment clean and complete routine maintenance.
  • Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.
  • Be a leader; uphold Paradox's values and standards wherever the job takes you.
  • Be a team player; some paperwork required.

What you'll bring to Paradox?

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and Clean Drivers Abstract.
  • 35 years experience operating Heavy Equipment.
  • Equipment training (Excavator, Loader, Grader, etc).
  • Valid safety certifications in H2S, CSTS, First Aid, and OSSA are required. Global ground disturbance 2 and flagger training are considered an asset.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining company initiatives and standards.
  • Successful Preemployment drug & alcohol testing required.
  • Be willing and prepared to work in all weather conditions.

Wage will be based on years of experience and qualifications. Paid vacation and holiday time.
