MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and repair production molds while paying attention to the finest details
  • Work from blueprints and sketches to modify existing molds
  • Work with conventional lathes, milling and electrical discharge machines
  • Analyze and correct complex mold malfunctions to ensure a mold will produce the most ideal parts
  • Assist toolmakers or machinists with technical advice or help when necessary
  • Inspect finished products and select the correct precision measurement devices and other tools needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 35 years of experience in mold making and maintenance preferably in the plastic field
  • Technical school certification or apprenticeship mold making program
  • Must be exact and able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong math and communication skills and ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to multitasks and prioritize projects simultaneously
  • Good judgement, time management and organization skills
