YOUR ROLE:

  • The role of the Trade Marketing Manager is to develop, execute, analyze, and refine the national, channel specific and account specific promotional strategy.
  • This role leads the delivery of key priorities by collaborating with key team members from Sales and Education.
  • Monitor the brand portfolio health, P&L, and market positioning.
  • To develop the business strategy for all innovation, pricing, merchandising, and promotions, including the use of Education initiatives to drive market growth.
  • Continuously work with brand teams, sales, education, customer service, supply planning, customers, and external vendors to ensure proper promotional execution.
  • Drive the essence of the brand(s) in Canada. Be your brand champion and advocate.
  • Collaborate with Sales to execute Brand Plans at customer level.
  • Work with Key Accounts to tailor and execute unique promotions and store level activation.
  • Analyze brand sales performance reports for internal meetings. Reports include channel/account review, promotional P&L, and innovation/campaign tracking.
  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing team on key initiatives and lead the Canadian localization of all creative design direction and implement as required.
  • Work closely with supply chain to ensure product setup, relaunches, launches and promotions are executed in a timely fashion with appropriate volume forecast assumptions and mínimal disruptions.
  • Optimize and allocate advertising & promotion budget across sales and marketing initiatives ensuring best ROI and strategic priorities

YOUR SKILLS:

  • University degree in Business Marketing
  • At least 5 years of successful professional experience in brand marketing or trade marketing
  • Proven ability to inspire and train team members
  • People management, direct or indirect
  • Financial acumen and strong analytical competence
  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing, creating CRM's and in store signage
  • Capacity for multitasking with ability to switch tasks and reprioritize
  • Detail oriented and extremely organized
  • Creative and innovative person, who is well organized, ambitious and has excellent analytical, conceptual and communicational skills
  • Fluency in English is essential, and French is beneficial
