The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) is is seeking a full-time and Locum Gynecologist to join its dynamic medical team.

HGH is a family and patient-centred bilingual regional hospital. We provide essential services to the residents of Prescott-Russell and the surrounding region. As the majority of the population we serve is francophone, fluency in both French and English is a requirement.

Our team of over 200 physicians and 800 employees is committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services and relies on teamwork, innovation, and leadership.

Start date and schedules: flexible

Our obstetrical team includes four gynecologists and five family medicine obstetricians.

• HGH has newly renovated facilities including a newly built ambulatory care department and operating rooms.
• Most of the work is done in person with a percentage that can be done virtually depending on personal preference.
• Two days of OR time are guaranteed per month.

• Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent qualification
• Independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

In 2022, we completed a major redevelopment project that transformed our local community hospital into a full-service regional hospital thanks to a $200 million investment in infrastructure, medical equipment and cutting-edge technology.

HGH is a proud member of The Atlas Alliance, which has enabled us to adopt the Epic Health Information System and its electronic medical record (EMR), resulting in increased efficiency and patient safety. As a member of The Atlas Alliance, we maintain educational and working partnerships with The Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Heart Institute.
