General Accountabilities:

Support the Manager, Community Investment and Internal Communications in implementing the Director's department goals and objectives by providing:

  • Assist the Manager in the coordination and development of the Company's strategic plan, consistent with Director's expectations.
  • Assist the Manager with monitoring Lines of Business implementation of strategic initiatives and assess for alignment and consistency with the Company's strategic plan and for optimization opportunities.
  • Support the Manager in ensuring all materials (e.g., memoranda, briefing notes, slide decks, etc.) prepared for the Chief Operating Officer are aligned and consistent with the Corporate strategic plan.
  • Support the Manager in the creation and implementation a schedule of staff/customer interface opportunities for the Director and the Leadership Team to communicate key messages based on the strategic plan, renew customer relationships, and maintain/improve Corporate reputation.
  • Coordinate and align any actions coming out of meetings with the Chief Operating Officer
  • Conduct research and analyses to support the Company's strategic initiative.
  • Assist in other corporate assignments as required.

Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent analytical, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly
  • Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and planning skills; ability to reprioritize work as required and deal with ambiguity
  • Candidate must possess strong time-management skills
  • This is normally considered to be acquired through at least 5 years of relevant progressive work experience
  • Requires a 4-year University degree
