Purpose
The Guest Experience Logistics reports into the Senior Onboard Manager.

This position is accountable to support the Onboard team with predeparture preparations and administrative functions.


The Guest Experience Logistics is responsible for supporting onboard crew, (Managers, Hosts and Onboard Support Co-coordinators) by providing documentation and supplies required for each departure out of the Vancouver and North Vancouver Stations.

Limited day travel onboard the train may be required (up to 30% of time).

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive.

This position requires the incumbent to periodically access an active railway area where impaired performance could result in a significant incident affecting the health and safety of team members, guests, team members, the public, property, or the environment.


Key Areas of Accountability

Provide support to the Onboard team.

  • Order supplies and ensure timely deliveries to each consist as required
  • Maintain guest collateral supplies at our Vancouver Station
  • Maintain and order First Aid supplies to ensure adequate supplies on hand
  • Input invoices and process in a timely manner
  • Prepare trip documentation including printing and collation
  • Support the train team with predeparture tasks
  • Provide assistance to the Station team after each train departure
  • Manage ICE supplies and track inventory levels
  • Oversee operation radio program for onboard and destinations
  • Ensure general cleanliness of the Vancouver Mezzanine Warehouse, lower mezzanine and cage areas in the Vancouver Station
  • When onboard the train, assist with storage organization and orders for the train
  • Other duties as assigned by the Onboard Leadership

Qualifications

Education / Certifications / Knowledge

  • High school diploma or equivalent an asset

Experience

  • Experience in an administrative or logistics capacity in the hotel, travel or tourism industry

Skills

  • Intermediate time management, organization skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate interpersonal skills and guest service excellence
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

Eligibility

  • Strong physical endurance and must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
