Job Opportunity
The Clamp Truck Operator is responsible for the safe unloading of large paper rolls, warehousing and production supply.
To be considered for this position, you must be able to work Monday through Saturday up to 24 to 30 hours per week with weekly rotating shifts; midnight, afternoons, and days.
All successful applicants must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal background check and pre-employment medical.
How you will impact WestRock:
- Responsible for maintaining work area free of unsafe conditions/housekeeping responsibilities of work area.
- Safe and proper unloading of trucks (avoiding product damage)
- Warehouse roll stock on appropriate location inside/outside according to grade (avoiding product damage)
- Marks every roll that is unloaded with the size, grade, ticket number, lineal feet, date, and signature; also puts a ticket on each roll.
- Supply Corrugator with roll stock using clamp truck
- Remove butt rolls from machine (if properly marked) and place in correct inventory location.
- Identify and mark damaged roll stock and control waste using proper documentation
- Preventative maintenance request controlwork documentationreporting to management
- Operator Forklift as required
- Fill in for Production when needed
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 2 years' experience driving Powered Industrial Trucks Clamp and Forklifts
- 2 years production/manufacturing experience preferred.
- A strong commitment to working safe.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery.
