This fun summer role runs from April 20 to October 19, 2024Compensation:
The starting wage for this role will be $20.00 per hour

$17.50/ day taxable benefit for housing and mealsYou maybe eligible for a retention bonusWork in a dynamic, culturally diverse team from around the globeWork experience in an iconic, unforgettable, and inspiring locationFree access to Pursuit attractions for staff and family, send a friend at half the priceDiscounted hotel stays under Pursuit's lodging offerings, and discounted food & beverage and retail experiencesThe chance to work in an inclusive culture and make life-long friendsAccess to subsidized mental health and wellness resourcesOpportunities for career growth or future work at other Pursuit locationsAccess to one of the world's most beautiful and iconic National ParksWhat will you do in this job?:Support, train, coach, encourage the Facilities cleaning teamAct as the "on the floor" daily leadership for the Facilities cleaning teamFocus on operational excellence, employee training and development, service standards and consistenciesPerform established cleaning duties on a daily basis for all guest and team member areasKeep emergency exits and hallways clear of debrisEnsure cleaning checklists and maintenance logs are maintained and up to dateMaintain garbage collection areas and help facilitate an effective recycling programPreform minor painting and plumbing dutiesCoordination of daily and weekly employee schedules and breaksRecognizing, and identifying, business needs in relation to employee schedulingResponsible for inventory and stock-take of equipment and suppliesReport equipment and supplies to the Maintenance Manager for re-orderProvide administrative support to the Maintenance Manager, including supplies ordering and SOP DevelopmentPerforming quality assurance checks and coaching staff members as requiredDaily cleaning duties for the Icefield Centre including: general public, office and washroom areasRetaining all public areas clean and tidy to a professional standard and qualityMaintaining cleanliness of the Receiving and Supplies RoomCardboard bailing and organization of building recyclingOther duties as assignedWhat skills and experience do you need for this job?:Previous leadership position experience, or a willingness progress into a leadership positionA passion for coaching and developing employeesExcellent employee and public relations skills and a friendly/cooperative natureStrong team player, organization and communication skillsMust get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environmentMature, energetic, dependable and self-motivatedAbility to lift loads of up to 50 pounds as necessaryAbility to complete assignments with minimal supervisionInternally motivated with a consistently high level of energyAbility to take initiative and follow through on tasks needing attentionHigh attention to detailStrong organizational skills, while possessing flexibility towards different tasksConfidence to safely use common hand tools such as hammers, drills, wrenches and screwdriversExperience in a custodial or light maintenance role an assetTourism or hospitality industry experience an assetEnjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environmentComfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all weather conditions (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)
