As the IT Manager, you will lead the overall technology vision for McLeod Law.

Delivering a technology platform for our organization that enables collaboration and efficiency and leverages technology for a competitive advantage in our market.

You will provide consultation and decision-making on technology matters that will advance business performance and ensure the delivery of cutting-edge, forward-thinking capabilities that will effectively drive and support McLeod's current and future business needs.

This dynamic role encompasses both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement, ensuring the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure while fueling our growth through strategic initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIESAlong with senior management and Managed Service Providers, you will develop the IT vision, strategy, budget management, security, governance, risk & compliance, business relationship management, and stakeholder managementLead the evaluation of existing processes and initiate change to a future state structure where requiredDevelop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT infrastructureResponsible for building and managing vendor relationships to achieve win/win situations and get the best results in deliveryEstablish long-term goals, policies, standards, and procedures and oversee implementation to ensure proper governance and compliance are being followedManage team performance to ensure the meeting or exceeding of SLAs and commitments to the businessInstill a culture of high performance and excellent service within the IT department, which includes:communicate business and team strategy and vision;management of IT department staff;a higher level of cohesion and service commitment within the department;review and approval;discipline, as necessary;IT Help Desk staff with ticket management and ticket resolution; andduties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of progressive IT management experience, ideally in a law firm or comparable professional services environment3+ years' experience Managing and developing solutions with Microsoft 365 (Office 365, Exchange Online, Sharepoint) and Microsoft Cloud Services (Azure)


Proven ability to develop and execute IT strategies, manage budgets, and ensure security and complianceStrong project management expertise, particularly with large-scale technology implementationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build relationships with both technical personnel and firm stakeholdersPassionate about technology with a track record of introducing cutting-edge solutions that create tangible business impactExposure to LLM and AI Platforms would be an assetExperience with Legal Practice Management Software (Elite 3E or similar such as Aderant, Accuming, PCLaw), with Document Management Systems (NetDocuments or similar Worldox, iManage) would be considered an assetITSM certifications (ITIL, etc.)
