About the role

As the new Human Resources Student, this is your chance to join a remarkable and dynamic team in the HR Department.

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment Services, you will contribute to a variety of HR functions to support the success of Recruitment operations at FNHA.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast paced, high functioning HR environment through attending team meetings, collaborating with staff, and working on meaningful projects where you get to see the impact you make each day.


We are looking for a passionate and motivated team player who is eager to join us in reshaping the future Some duties of the role include inbox management, project work, collaboration with other departments/organizations, administrative support, recruiting tasks, and supporting the organization and registration of events.

In addition, you will be embraced into a learning environment with opportunities to enhance your understanding of First Nations' culture and traditions, and FNHA's role in improving health outcomes for First Nations peoples in BC.


About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in an undergraduate program specific to Human Resources and/or Business Administration, or other relevant undergraduate level program work. Recently completed undergraduate students may also be considered.
  • Have relevant and recent experience in research and analysis, ideally in Human Resources, Healthcare, and/or First Nations environments. Experience in recruiting is an asset.
  • Show strong written and oral communication skills in producing different types of documents, including: excel sheets; reports/research; word documents; and creative and engaging job postings through various individual and collaborative methods.
  • Work at an advanced level with PC and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). A basic understanding of HR information systems is beneficial but not required.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities. You will have the ability to multitask across many functions while still maintaining the required quality and attention to detail.
