Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Pre-Production and Quality, the Sample Sewer will play an integral role in bringing to life quality garments that reflect the Groupe Dynamite brands by collaborating closely with our patternmakers, offering insights, corrections, and solutions to ensure the accurate construction of each sample.

You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick and mortar retailer, to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor.

Main Responsibilities:

• Cut and sew garment samples that accurately replicate the intended design;
• Utilize your sewing expertise to create flawless and wellfinished samples, showcasing the quality of our apparel;
• Collaborate closely with patternmakers, providing valuable feedback on the construction of each garment sample;
• Offer suggestions, corrections, and innovative solutions to address any challenges or issues encountered during the sewing process;
• Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure that each sample adheres to the highest standards of quality, fit, and finishing.
• Identify any inconsistencies or imperfections and take necessary measures to rectify them.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a sample sewer skilled seamstress or sample sewer in the apparel industry.
• Proficient in sewing techniques, fabric manipulation, and garment assembly to achieve highquality finished samples.
• Knowledge of fabrics;
• Bilingual (French/English) with strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Meticulous and detail oriented;
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise way, verbal and written;
• Adaptable to changes;
• Able to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment;
• Strong time management skills, highly organized and able to effectively prioritize workload.
