Job Duties Job Duties 1. Provide instruction in the environmental engineering technology program. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in environmental monitoring as well as a background in chemistry and ecology.

  • Prepare for and use appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments.
  • Manage his/her classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.
  • Use appropriate methods of evaluating and recording student progress.
  • Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.
  • Accommodate students with special learning needs.
  • Attend staff, program and division meetings.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.
  • Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work cooperatively in an interdependent "team" environment.
  • Follow any academic regulations and/or policies adopted by Sask Polytech and/or the Campus. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) 1. Engineering technology diploma or engineering degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Member of or eligible for certification with SASTT as an A.Sc.
T. or with APEGS as a P.Eng.

  • Two years' recent/relevant experience (two years' in the last five) in the Environmental and/or Water Resources engineering field.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Effective instructional ability.
