Note:
This Role is an on site role with a 6 am start time.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Play a supporting role for the overall management of the inventory including: communication, follow up, and reporting; identifying discrepancies, and taking corrective action to address rootcause issues through a cycle count program.
  • Oversees the daily inventory transactions and activity.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • In collaboration with procurement, determine optimal inventory levels, analyzing historical sales data and seasonal demand to determine inventory needs, analyzing processes to determine replenishment cycles, and resolving issues related to inventory levels and replenishment.
  • Conduct, measure, and analyze cycle counts
  • Control and perform (timely) inventory adjustments along with analysis
  • Ensure that computer transactions are done as close to the physical moves in the plant as possible
  • In conjunction with the Inventory Analyst, implement the preparation and successful execution of the annual physical inventory
  • Actively lead and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Select suppliers and manage corresponding partnerships for all operating companies.
  • Lead crossfunctional affiliate teams to drive purchasing initiatives and improve bottom line performance.
  • Analyze trends and make corresponding sourcing decisions that contribute directly to the company's competitive position.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be amended from time to time in order to support efficient Company operations

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related business discipline. Materials Management/Inventory Control/APICS (CPIM, CSCP or equivalent) 3+ years' experience with inventory management practices in a manufacturing environment. Experience working in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment. Knowledge of MRP, BOM and Lean JIT inventory management.

  • Knowledge of Sage 300 and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access considered an asset.
  • Welldeveloped problemsolving skills with the ability to find solutions and incorporate them into existing practices as needed
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to communicate effectively with all levels of and within the organization
  • Exhibit strong leadership and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning programs and tools.
  • Comfortable preparing and analyzing cost estimates.
