Financial Analyst, Senior – Global Finance

The Global Finance team currently has a vacancy for a Senior Financial Analyst at the Linamar Corporate office. The successful candidate will lead the preparation and analysis of financial reporting to support management decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or college diploma in Accounting, Business or a related discipline is required.
  • A CPA designation is a requirement.
  • Three to five years of related financial experience.
  • Previous experience with data analysis of revenues, expenses, liabilities and assets to identify key economic and treasury trends.
  • Ability to discuss a variety of accounting and work-related topics with co-workers and colleagues. Present financial information to managers and supervisors.
  • Interact with others in team and act as liaison between different departments.
  • Ability to work in a fully computerized environment including advanced Excel and Word skills. Knowledge of BPC SAP, IFS, or other ERP systems is an asset. Knowledge and prior use with business analytics software such as Power BI or Tableau are also considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Routine monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management including foreign exchange impact analysis and various consolidated Sales and Earnings variance analysis.
  • Support the Consolidated Close Process by overseeing the collection, compilation, and consolidation of supporting schedules from subsidiaries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise as the company's main contact for the financial function of Linamar's program for facility performance management, including KPI analysis, reporting and training.
  • Ad Hoc reporting to the Vice President, Global Finance as well as ad hoc support to various ongoing Corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Mentoring of junior staff members, including review of work and coaching through technical and soft skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and willing to work overtime to meet deadlines if required.
  • Must be highly analytical with sound business judgment, proven documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated passion for learning and acquiring new skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
